Book Processing Team Member Gumdrop Books | Bethany, Missouri

Gumdrop Books is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Book Processing Team. This position plays a key role in preparing books for schools and libraries nationwide. Team members are responsible for processing, labeling, and preparing materials to meet customer specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Process library and school books according to customer requirements
• Apply barcodes, spine labels, protective covers, security strips, and other processing materials
• Inspect books for quality and accuracy before shipment
• Pull, sort, and organize orders from inventory
• Pack completed orders for shipping
• Maintain accurate records of completed work
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and quality goals
• Perform other warehouse and production duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow written instructions and established procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Previous warehouse, production, or library processing experience is helpful but not required
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
